Harness the Power of You, Inc.

Jose Marti, Cuban national hero as well as a writer and poet, once said, “Men are like the stars; some generate their own light while others reflect the brilliance they receive.” Those who shift their brilliance belong in the first category. They invest their time in developing themselves in order to be able to control their future and guarantee their success. In short, they focus on building their personal brilliance. Personal brilliance is an individual spark, a driving force that sets in motion a number of connected events, situations and results that can make an impact. For instance, by observing a compass his father’s friend had, a young Albert Einstein was driven to discover numerous scientific facts that would establish his reputation as a genius.

Einstein aligned his head, heart and hands in order to tap into his personal brilliance and produce a number of theories on which today’s latest innovations rely on. The thing is you can do the same too. All you need to do is discover what makes you unique, what traits you possess, and what skills can help you grow into a leader, be it in your life or your household.

Take for example Kathy’s case, a housewife with years of management experience in the retail sector. After her marriage, she had to stay at home to take care of her new husband’s children. However, she faced many issues trying to get them to do as she says. Being a brilliant person, she used her communication skills to successfully get the teens to do their chores. She also flexed her leadership muscles to ensure that her orders weren’t disputed. While this may sound harsh, you’ll be pleased to know that she also taps into her motherly instincts to ensure the right balance for tackling children.

Personal brilliance can work just as effectively at the workplace. Your personality and way of thinking is what make a task more significant for you, ensuring that you work harder towards molding its outcome according to your perception.

Regardless of whether you intend to harness the power of you for your life or work, you can easily do so by following these four steps.

  1. Learn to be Audacious – Audacious individuals are bold in their beliefs, which is why they are daring and confident enough to be audacious.
  2. Don’t Follow the Hype – Control yourself by believing that you can create your future through the unique choices you make. Follow the path you set for yourself and you’ll be able to take the reins of your life.
  3. Take the Initiative – Become a leader and take the extra mile even when you’re not obliged to do so. By discovering the power in you and putting it to action, you’ll stop carrying out your job duties and become brilliant.
  4. Make Relationships as You Go – By harnessing the power of you, you shift from selling to connecting, creating meaningful relationships as you go. This will make others remember you and ensure your success on the long run.

Follow these four steps today and others will seek the brilliance you generously reflect.
