Epic Starts Now

In honor of National Women’s month, your three learning bursts for the week are geared toward women in life, work and business.

Entrepreneur

“You just can’t beat the person who never gives up.” —Babe Ruth

Recently I was in Las Vegas speaking at a conference, and I met one of the most amazing examples of female entrepreneurship. Her name is Angela Williams, and she reminded me that you can set the trajectory of your own epic career no matter your circumstances. Angela leveraged that “it factor,” her work ethic, and an amazing amount of resilience to build an epic career. I hope you’ll read the whole story about how she did it here: https://simont.ba/2G6pB5b.

Professional

It’s time to do an assessment of the organization to see who values, validates, and ignites your brilliance. If it’s too short of a list, you may need to determine your exit strategy. That could mean looking for another job or starting a side hustle that could turn into a full-time gig. It could mean working to start your own business or pulling the trigger on the book you’ve been wanting to write. I sense that there are some of you ready to take the leap but unsure if it’s the perfect time. There will never be a perfect time to become the person you might have been. Plan your exit strategy carefully, and take a smart risk.

Personal

As we prepare for spring, it’s time to do an internal spring cleaning of what thoughts no longer support you in this next season. Put away the mental clothes that kept you warm during hibernation. Go to the attic of possibility and unpack new ways of thinking that will allow you to spring forward, flourish, and grow spiritually, financially, and emotionally.
